The Joombarn-buru Aboriginal Corporation ('JbAC') is a prescribed body corporate established and operating since 2021 (ICN 9583). Its core function is to manage the Native Title Rights and Interests of the Joombarn-buru People, which oversees 940 square kilometre’s of exclusive and non-exclusive possession of native title. 

The General Manager Role

The General Manager role is critical to the success of the corporation. Reporting to the JbAC Board in a full-time capacity, ensuring that all financial, legal, compliance, and management obligations are met.

JbAC is seeking a General Manager with experience at an executive level or a proven leader looking to step up into an executive role who will possess the core skills required to ensure success.

 

The Implementation Officer Role

The Implementation Officer plays an active and vital role in representing the interests of the Joombarn-buru people in relation to the Thunderbird project operations. Managed through JbAC, the Implementation Officer is directed in accordance with the Thunderbird Project Co-existence Agreement and will report to the Implementation Committee on performance objectives. The position is being supported at the day-to-day level to achieve those objectives through the General Manager.

JbAC is seeking an Implementation Officer with experience in contract management, interested in supporting the aspirations of the Joombarn-buru people. The Implementation Officer is primarily responsible for the administration of the Thunderbird Project Co-existence Agreement and matters arising under it on behalf of the Joombarn-buru people and the Native Title members.
